Thermal Anti Drip - 600 gauge
-
£0.00
Here at Premier Polytunnels we sell a clear Thermal Anti Drip polythene cover as standard. This is a 600 gauge/150 micron polythene film with a 4-year warranty against UV degradation and is the preferred cover of UK growers - supplied as standard with our garden polytunnels.
Our Thermal Anti Drip (or Anti Fog as it is sometimes known) film is THE FIRST SOLD IN THE UK that includes NEW 5-layer co-extrusion technology. This 5-layer, 21st Century technology, which is unique to Premier Polytunnels, allows special chemical additives within the film to be divided more evenly throughout the layers, therefore reducing the effect of each additive upon the others and making for a more efficient polytunnel cover. These special additives help to greatly reduce many fungal and bacterial diseases that can damage plants.
The air inside a polytunnel has a high moisture content, causing water to evaporate and form droplets (or fogging) on the inside of the cover. Anti Drip additives within the film prevent large droplets forming and dropping back onto the plants, causing damage and disease to them.
The Thermal effect of the film prevents heat radiation being lost from the polytunnel, therefore maintaining a higher foliage temperature and drier plants, and leading to lower heating costs.
This film uses mineral additives to diffuse the light entering the polytunnel, ensuring that some light will make its way into the central and more shaded areas of the plants.
The film also includes Anti Dust additives on the top/outside layer, making it more difficult for dust to remain on the polythene and making it easier for the wind, rain, and your cleaning efforts to remove any accumulated dust from the polytunnel.
Thermal Anti Drip - 720 gauge Upgrade
£11.00
Why not choose to upgrade your garden polytunnel cover to a 720 gauge/180 micron clear Thermal Anti Drip polythene film. This film is 20% thicker than many other covers and has an extended 5-year warranty against UV degradation.

Single Sliding Door
£85.00
Why not choose to upgrade the hinged door to a sliding door at one end of your polytunnel?
Our doors have been designed with a timber frame and each door uses 2 x 1 timber, which is tanalised to preserve the wood and protect against rot. Each door is supplied with a lower panel of polythene and a top panel of ventilation net ensuring that, even when closed, the tunnel receives ventilation and airflow while still keeping out those hungry predators. When open, sliding doors sit flush to the polytunnel.
At Premier Polytunnels it’s in the detail; unlike our competitors’, our aluminium sliding door lintel is supplied with specially designed plastic finishing end caps to protect your head from sharp corners.
Single sliding doors on this polytunnel have an opening of up-to-2ft 6in wide.

No Doors and Frames - SAVE £££s
-£60.00
For customers who may have a ready supply of timber and wish to make their own doors and door frames, Premier Polytunnels give you the option to remove our doors and door frames from each end of our polytunnels.
Please Note: Premier Polytunnels will still supply you with a 'Door Post Fixing Kit' to enable you to fix your door posts to the end hoops of the tunnel.
The Anti Hot Spot Tape Kit is included as standard with this polytunnel
Anti Hot Spot Tape Kit
This self-adhesive foam tape is a must on any polytunnel – We cannot recommend it highly enough. The tape is placed on the metal framework wherever the cover comes into contact, helping to prolong the life of the polythene sheet as it prevents cover degradation from friction and the built up heat on the framework. The smooth surface of the tape allows the cover to be pulled easily over the framework without catching or tearing during construction.
Anchor Plate Kit (for soil base)
£42.00
FOR FIXING POLYTUNNELS INTO A SOIL BASE.
Originally designed and developed by our very own polytunnel specialist, anchor plates have been successfully used for many years and have proven to be a much simpler method of securing polytunnels into the ground than the use of concrete. These plates clamp to the base of each foundation tube in a 16-inch hole, which would be dug just as for concreting. When earth is compacted back over the plates, this prevents the polytunnel framework from lifting or sinking, even in the most severe weather conditions.
Anchor plates MUST be used when purchasing base rails and are advisable to be used even when trenching the polythene cover in soil as this prevents the framework from sinking and the cover becoming loose.
Anchor plates have been updated at Premier Polytunnels to include an offset hole to allow easier fitting when the foundation tube cannot be placed central in the hole, for example, when avoiding walls, paths, and underground obstruction.
Base Plate Kit (for hard standing base)
£53.00
FOR FIXING POLYTUNNELS TO HARD STANDING.
These are used to replace foundation tubes when fixing a polytunnel to hard standing, such as concrete or flags. Cage bolts are supplied for fixing and the polytunnel framework simply slots into position.
Base plate kits are also supplied with angle brackets and cage bolts for fixing timber door posts to the ground.
If purchasing base plates, base rails MUST always be used.
Crop Bar Kit
£14.00
These galvanised steel bars are placed horizontally across each of the intermediate polytunnel hoops above head height. They can be used to support hanging baskets, canes, shade net, lighting, irrigation, and many other uses. A further beneficial side effect of crop bars is added strength and stability to the polytunnel structure in extreme weather conditions, particularly on blustery and exposed sites.
Triple Ridge Kit
These extra ridge bars are placed on each side of the polytunnel's curved roof and run down the full length of the tunnel, exactly the same as the centre ridge which is supplied as standard. This Triple Ridge option adds further longitudinal strength to the structure. These side ridge bars are also suitable to be used for supporting hanging baskets, canes, etc, therefore positioning the baskets over the growing area and out of the way of paths.
These extra ridge bars can be positioned to suit your individual requirements, such as to avoid Crop Bars.
Storm Strengthening Kit
£8.00
The weakest point of a polytunnel hoop is a joint. On any polytunnel that deforms in extreme weather conditions, the first point of failure is a hoop joint. Collars bolt into position over each joint doubling the thickness of the hoop, giving added strength and peace of mind.
Cover Tensioning Tubes Kit
£30.00
The secret of a good polytunnel which will last for years, whatever the weather, is a tight polythene cover.
Polytunnel covers which have been buried in a trench can become slack if the steel frame sinks into the ground slightly. In order to re-tension the cover, tensioning foundation tubes are available to allow you to do this.
Premier Polytunnels keep the job simple by supplying longer-than-standard foundation tubes into which the polytunnel hoops fit. To tension the cover, the hoop is lifted and a clamp is placed in the necessary position once the hoop has been raised to the required level.
The hoops should only require lifting approximately 1-2 inch to achieve a tight cover.
Timber Base Rail Kit
£105.00
A timber base rail simply clamps around the base of the polytunnel framework, therefore doing away with the need for digging a trench and allowing the polythene cover to be simply fixed to this rail. Base rails are adjustable to allow for cover tensioning.
Anchor Plates or Base Plates are a MUST when using this method of fixing to prevent the polytunnel framework from lifting.
Timber base rails are pressure treated with a wood preserver to protect against rot and the cover is fixed simply by using timber battens and nails.
Aluminium Base Rail Kit
£192.00
An aluminium base rail simply clamps around the base of the polytunnel frame, therefore doing away with the need for digging a trench and allowing the polythene cover to be simply fixed to this rail. Base rails are adjustable to allow for cover tensioning.
The polythene is trapped into the aluminium with PVC infills which can be easily removed and reused should the polythene need re-adjusting or when the time comes to re-cover the polytunnel.
Because nails are not required, using aluminium base rails is more gentle on the polythene.
Anchor Plates or Base Plates are a MUST when using this method of fixing to prevent the polytunnel frame from lifting.
Timber Side Rail Kit (Left side)
£65.00
Timber side rails are exactly the same as base rails, but these rails are placed around the polytunnel framework at the top of the straight sides. This allows for net ventilation, which is supplied by Premier Polytunnels, to be placed between the side rail and the ground/base rail, with the main polythene cover stopping at the side rail. Side rails can be fitted along one side only or both sides.
Timber side rails are pressure treated with a wood preserver to protect against rot and the cover is fixed simply by using timber battens and nails.
Aluminium Side Rail Kit (Left side)
£170.00
Aluminium side rails are exactly the same as aluminium base rails, but these rails are placed around the polytunnel frame at the top of the straight sides. This allows for net ventilation (supplied by Premier Polytunnels) to be placed between the side rail and the ground/base rail, with the main polythene cover stopping at the side rail.
The polythene and net are trapped into the aluminium with PVC infills which can be easily removed and reused should the polythene need re-adjusting or when the time comes to re-cover the polytunnel.
Ventilation Screen Kit (Left side)
£195.00
When nature needs a little help, a polythene ventilation screen puts you in control, allowing you to create the environment which best suits your plants all year round.
The side ventilation (incorporated in our Side Rail kits) sometimes used on a polytunnel is not always required, especially in the colder months. To protect young or tender plants from frost damage or to maintain heat from an artificial source, it is often necessary to screen off the net ventilation.
Here at Premier Polytunnels we have designed a simple to use polythene screen which is rolled down over the side ventilation net. The ventilation can be screened off fully or partially, or can be left completely open depending on the amount of ventilation required.
A low ratio gearbox allows you to roll the screen up or down in seconds with the use of a simple handle that requires little effort. Operated from the inside of the polytunnel where the screen runs between the hoops and ventilation net.
This kit is a ventilation screen only, designed to be used in conjunction with a Side Rail kit.
Base rails are recommended when purchasing Ventilation Screen kits.
Polytunnel Gutter Kit (Left side)
£57.00
Here it is... the solution to collecting rainwater from your polytunnel.
With more than 30 years experience in the horticultural industry, we have used our expertise to bring you a water collection system for your polytunnel.
Designed in-house by our highly skilled and experienced team, and integrated into our polytunnel design, these gutters are designed to be used in conjunction with our timber or aluminium side rails. On aluminium side rails the gutters simply slot into place on either one or both sides of the tunnel. For fitting to timber side rails, a gutter carrier is screwed to the timber rails and the gutters simply slot into place. A stop end slots into the gutter at one end or, if you prefer, you can position the stop end at any point along the gutter and collect water at each end of your tunnel.
Long-lasting and aesthetically pleasing, our polytunnel gutters require no maintenance other than clearing them of debris occasionally.
Collecting rainwater is an easy, cost effective way of ensuring you can always keep watering.
This kit is a polytunnel gutter only, designed to be used in conjunction with a Timber Side Rail kit or our Aluminium Side Rail kit.

Staging Support Kit (Left side)
Here at Premier Polytunnels we are very aware of the weight of a pot or tray when fully watered. It requires a significant amount of strength to support what could be hundreds of pots and trays down the length of a polytunnel.
Our staging supports clamp easily to each hoop of your polytunnel.
Staging supports for 8ft wide garden polytunnels are made using 28mm diameter steel tube, and are 2ft 6in high x 2ft 6in wide with a diagonal brace. Each support is supplied with a P Clip for fixing to 28mm diameter steel hoops.
All fixings supplied, including a fixing clamp (P Clip) for a top of your choice. Please note: These are support legs only and tops are not supplied.
Kits supplied are for the full length of one or both sides of your polytunnel. If you require fewer staging supports, they can be purchased individually from Polytunnel Parts in our Accessories pages.

Ground Cover Kit
£12.00
This black, heavy-duty UVI ground cover acts as an effective weed control with less than 0.5% light transmission, while still allowing water to be easily dispersed through into the ground without collecting in puddles. Premier Polytunnels use 100gm ground cover – 10% thicker than most other ground covers. This ground cover is strong and tear resistant, easy to clean, and has grid lines for accurate pot spacing. The inclusion of UV stabilisers allows for a long effective life.
Overhead Irrigation Kit
An overhead watering system is a simple and effective method of bringing water to your polytunnel, ensuring that the plants you have tended and nurtured receive just the right amount of water.
It is essential to consider the water SUPPLY and water PRESSURE when irrigating large areas, therefore Premier Polytunnels have used their expertise to design systems that you can rely on.
A polythene pipe fits to the roof of your polytunnel with sprinklers on drop tubes placed at approximately every hoop along the length, ensuring full coverage and avoiding dry spots. The pipe continues down the door post where it is connected to a garden hose.
A single central line is the ideal way to water 8ft wide garden tunnels.
Premier Irrigation Kit
£136.00
Our Premier Irrigation kits are identical to our standard Overhead Irrigation kits, but are supplied with an adjustable pressure regulator, for those areas where water pressure is high.
The Premier kits also include a top of the range Galcon battery operated tap timer, doing away with the need for a watering can or even the presence of a person!
A hole punch is also supplied to make the correct size of hole in the low density pipe into which the Drop Pipes and Sprinklers fit.
With a Premier Irrigation kit you can go out to work or on holiday safe in the knowledge that the plants you have tended and nurtured will still regularly receive the right amount of water.
